Gabriella Coll
Art Educator based in Central New York
Born with a crochet hook in my hand and raised by generations of badass Latina crafters, my passion for fiber art is rooted in its power to cultivate community and creative healing. At the intersection of cultures, between Miami and Colombia, I learned to weave together my First-Generation American experiences with a deep connection to my ancestry. These influences continue to inform my teaching practices, engagement with my community and fierce self-advocacy. My goal is to empower people to confront and transform their pain through creativity because this transformation can become an act of release, an opportunity for expression. And with this release, comes healing.
